Have You Looked At Tri Colour Nests Of Tables?

Monday July 12, 2010

Think about what you look at when you are buying a new nest of tables. The chances are one of the first things you think about is which colour will fit in with your current surroundings. For instance if you want a natural looking set you might opt for wood. Another option might be a brightly painted set which matches in with some furniture you already have.

But there are other options you could go for as well. Have you ever tried looking for tri colour nests of tables, where each table is a completely different colour for example?

These can actually be quite rare, but a good example occurred recently when Ercol produced a tri colour nest of tables to celebrate its 90th anniversary. This particular set was a limited edition and may well have been outside the budget of many people who were looking for a set like this.

But there is another option you could consider, and this is to make a set of your own which meets your own particular needs. If you want to do this you will need to find a suitable untreated wooden set of tables to work with. They should be suitable for painting so you can finish them off yourself.

The next step would be to choose which colour paints you will use to paint them with. You need tough paint that will provide a strong finish that will not easily be chipped or damaged.

If you aren’t sure which colours to use, here are some ideas. Take a look at the surroundings in the room you are in and see what colours could fit in well. Are there any colours you have already used that have worked well and could be used to paint your tables with?

You might also want to think about painting in different shades. For instance you could have a dark blue table, a mid blue one and then a light blue one. You could do this with any colour if you want to create something different which still incorporates three different colours.

As you can see this is a great way of creating a different nest of tables that will really catch the eye. And if you get bored with the colours just sand them off and start again. It couldn’t be easier and you will have something completely unique as well.
