The Benefits Of A Glass Nest Of Tables

Saturday September 19, 2009

Nests of tables come in all kinds of finishes, of which wood is probably the most popular. But if wood doesn’t appeal to you there’s no need to worry. There is another material that has a lot of benefits that is about as far away from wood as you can get.

This material is glass.

Now glass may not sound that thrilling, but there are more options available with this particular material than you might think. For starters there are a variety of different finishes available. A quick search on Google revealed one nest of tables that was finished with a smoky black glass; another that was clear glass, and still more that had a green hue to them. So whatever design you are looking for, you have the benefit of having lots of options to choose from.

Next, there is also the benefit of different designs. Even though we tend to think of glass as coming in sheets or panels, this isn’t always the case. It can be curved as well. If you want a basic design then glass could be just the thing for you.

One recent example is about as simple as a nest of tables can get. Each of the three tables in the set was curved into a cubist style N – in lower case. The top part of the N formed the table, with the two sides going down to the floor. This is hugely beneficial as you don’t need to put them together and there is no way that any screws could ever work loose – because they don’t have any! If you want something truly minimalist then this style of glass table would fit the bill perfectly.

Another big benefit of glass nests of tables is that they don’t look solid in the same way that wooden ones do. You might think this is a bad thing, but if you have a small home or apartment then you will want to keep it looking light and airy. A glass nest of tables enables you to do that, but you can still have surfaces handy to put drinks and other items on as and when you need to.

So if you are considering having a nest of tables in your home in the near future, why not think about buying them in glass? For a modern, versatile and light touch, you cannot do much better. Glass really does have a lot to offer.
